Don’t let winter slow you down. The Blue Jay Ice n’ Stability Cane Tip is engineered to significantly reduce slips and falls on snow, ice, gravel, sand, grass, and other uneven or slippery surfaces. Five durable carbon-steel prongs dig in and grip where a standard rubber tip can’t, giving you the confidence to move safely in challenging outdoor conditions. When you’re back indoors, the tip flips up and stays out of the way — no need to remove it.
Will this fit my cane or walker?
The Ice n’ Stability tip is designed to fit tubing up to 1" in diameter, which covers most standard and folding canes and many walkers. Check the outer diameter of your cane or walker tubing before purchasing. If your cane has a non-standard tip size or a quad base, it may not be compatible.
How does the flip-up design work?
The prong assembly pivots on a hinge so you can flip the steel prongs up and out of the way when walking indoors on smooth surfaces. This protects floors and prevents the prongs from catching on carpet or tile. When you head back outside, simply flip the prongs back down into position — no tools required.
Is it safe to use indoors with the prongs flipped up?
Yes. When the prongs are flipped up, the tip rests on a standard rubber base, making it safe for use on indoor floors including hardwood, tile, and carpet. Always ensure the prongs are fully locked in the up position before walking indoors.
How do I install it on my cane?
The tip attaches using the included hardware and quick-mount system. Remove your existing cane tip, slide the Ice n’ Stability tip onto the end of your cane tubing, and secure it according to the included instructions. No special tools are required for standard installation.
