Carex Walker Platform Attachment, Padded Forearm Rest, 300 lb

The Carex Walker Platform Attachment converts a standard walker into a forearm-support walker, ideal for individuals with a weak grip or reduced hand and wrist strength who struggle to use a standard walker or crutch. By shifting weight-bearing from the hand to the forearm, it reduces strain on the wrist and hand joints during ambulation. The soft padded vinyl-covered armrest cradles the forearm for comfortable all-day use and wipes clean quickly with a damp cloth. An included arm strap holds the forearm securely in place for added safety and ease of use. The large adjustable top bracket fits most standard walkers and attaches and removes easily. 300 lb weight capacity. Sold individually.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a walker platform attachment?
A walker platform attachment (also called a forearm platform or forearm trough) replaces the standard hand grip on one side of a walker with a padded forearm rest. Instead of gripping the walker handle, the user rests their forearm on the platform and bears weight through the forearm. This is particularly helpful for those with weak grip strength, wrist pain, or hand conditions that make gripping difficult.

Is there a right and a left version?
No — the Carex walker platform attachment is universal and fits both right and left sides.

Will this work with a rollator walker?
No. This platform attachment is designed for standard walkers only and is not compatible with rollator walkers.

Does this come in a two-pack?
No — this is sold individually, one attachment per package. If you need forearm support on both sides of the walker, purchase two units.

The attachment looks taller than 12 inches in photos — why?
The 12-inch height dimension refers to the platform attachment body itself — the padded forearm trough and its housing. The mounting bracket pole extends further upward to connect to the walker frame at the correct height. Total installed height will vary depending on your walker frame height and bracket adjustment.

Will this fit my walker?
The Carex platform attachment is designed to fit most standard walkers via a large adjustable top bracket. If you have a non-standard or specialty walker, confirm the tube diameter and frame style before purchasing.

How do I clean the armrest?
The vinyl-covered armrest wipes clean with a damp cloth or mild disinfectant wipe. Allow to air dry before next use.
