The Cross-Fit Universal Hinged Knee Brace provides structured support for ligament and meniscus knee injuries in a universal fit that accommodates knee circumferences of 12 to 24 inches. Medial and lateral hinge stays provide firm, bilateral support to the knee joint, stabilizing the ligaments and controlling side-to-side movement during activity and recovery. An enclosed tubular donut buttress surrounds and cushions the patella, while piping along the thigh and calf areas prevents the brace from flexing or rolling during wear. The neoprene-coated 4-way stretch nylon fabric delivers warmth and compression while conforming to the knee for a comfortable, secure fit. Tapered back design for a comfortable fit behind the knee. Hinges are removable for custom fitting. Built-in hyperextension stop limits extension to 170 degrees. Black.
Note: This is a universal fit brace fitting knee circumference of 12 to 24 inches. It is not available in separate sizes. Measure around the center of your kneecap before ordering to confirm fit.
Individuals with mild to moderate ligament sprains and strains including MCL and LCL injuries who need bilateral hinge support and patellar stabilization in a single brace will find the Cross-Fit universal fit accommodates a wide range of knee sizes without the need to select a specific size. Patients recovering from meniscus injuries who require knee stabilization and compression during activity and daily use will find the removable medial and lateral hinges a customizable support option that can be adjusted as recovery progresses. Users with patellar instability or chondromalacia who benefit from a donut buttress to guide patellar tracking and cushion the kneecap area will find the enclosed tubular buttress design addresses patellar support in addition to ligament stabilization. Athletes, active individuals, and rehabilitation patients who need hyperextension protection during activity or sport will find the 170 degree extension stop a meaningful safety feature during the vulnerable phases of knee ligament recovery.
How do I measure for the correct fit?
Measure around the center of your kneecap directly over the patella with your leg slightly bent. This universal brace fits knee circumferences from 12 to 24 inches. If your measurement falls within this range, this brace will fit. Do not measure the thigh or calf — the knee circumference is the correct reference point for this brace.
What does the donut buttress do?
The enclosed tubular donut buttress is a ring-shaped pad that surrounds the kneecap without pressing directly on it. It helps guide the patella into proper alignment during movement and cushions the area around the kneecap to reduce discomfort from patellar instability or irritation. This is particularly useful for users with chondromalacia or general kneecap tracking issues in addition to ligament support needs.
What does the hyperextension stop at 170 degrees mean?
A fully straight knee is at 180 degrees of extension. The 170 degree hyperextension stop limits the knee from straightening beyond a slightly bent position, preventing the joint from snapping back into full extension or beyond. This protects healing ligaments and soft tissue from the stress of hyperextension during activity and rehabilitation.
Can the hinges be removed?
Yes. The medial and lateral hinge stays are removable, allowing the brace to be customized for individual fit and support needs. For most ligament and meniscus injury applications, keeping the hinges in place is recommended for maximum joint stabilization. Consult your physician or physical therapist before modifying the brace configuration.
