Arthritis pain and joint swelling in the hands can make everyday tasks — gripping, typing, opening jars, or simply getting dressed — significantly more difficult. IMAK Arthritis Gloves provide gentle compression therapy that helps control and reduce joint swelling, offering a non-invasive, drug-free approach to managing arthritis discomfort during daily activities and overnight. The open-fingertip design maintains full dexterity and tactile sensitivity so the gloves can be worn continuously without interfering with the ability to feel, touch, and grip. Breathable cotton Lycra fabric keeps hands dry and comfortable during all-day and nighttime wear. Sold as a pair.

How does compression help with arthritis pain and swelling?
Compression garments apply gentle, consistent pressure to the tissues surrounding the joints, which helps reduce the accumulation of fluid in the joint space — a primary cause of swelling and the associated pain and stiffness in arthritis. The compression also provides proprioceptive feedback — a heightened awareness of joint position — which can reduce the perception of pain and improve hand function during daily activities. The mild compression level of the IMAK gloves is designed for comfortable continuous wear rather than the higher compression levels used for acute edema management.
Can these gloves be worn overnight?
Yes. The breathable cotton Lycra fabric is designed for both daytime and nighttime wear. Many arthritis sufferers experience increased joint stiffness in the morning — a phenomenon known as morning stiffness — which is associated with fluid accumulation in the joints during sleep. Wearing compression gloves overnight can help reduce this overnight swelling, resulting in less stiffness and improved hand function when waking. The open-fingertip design and breathable fabric make overnight wear comfortable without overheating the hands.
How do I measure for the correct size?
Wrap a flexible measuring tape around your hand at the widest point across the knuckles — not including the thumb. This measurement is your knuckle width. Small fits up to 3-1/8", Medium fits up to 3-1/2", and Large fits up to 4". If your measurement falls at the upper end of a size range, sizing up may provide a more comfortable fit. The gloves should fit snugly enough to provide compression without restricting circulation or finger movement.
Why do the gloves have open fingertips?
The open-fingertip design allows the wearer to maintain full tactile sensitivity and dexterity while wearing the gloves. Closed-fingertip compression gloves reduce the ability to feel textures, operate touchscreens, handle small objects, and perform fine motor tasks — which limits their practical use during daily activities. The open-fingertip design means the gloves can be worn continuously throughout the day without needing to be removed for most tasks, which maximizes the duration of compression therapy and its associated benefits.
