For adults who need reliable mobility support without the frustration of complicated folding mechanisms, the ProBasics Sure Lever Release Folding Walker delivers a smarter solution. The sure lever release system lets users fold the walker without ever removing their hands from the grips — a critical advantage for anyone with limited hand strength or dexterity. Built on a lightweight aluminum frame with 5" wheels for smooth indoor and outdoor maneuverability, this walker is designed to move with you, not against you. The front cross brace is positioned near the top to allow a full, natural stride, and each side operates independently for better stability through doorways and narrow spaces. Available in a Blue Flame finish.
How does the sure lever release folding mechanism work?
The sure lever release system uses a lever mounted on the walker frame that, when engaged, releases the locking mechanism and allows the walker to fold in a single motion. Unlike standard two-button folding walkers that require users to press buttons on both sides simultaneously — which can be difficult for those with limited grip strength or hand coordination — the lever release design allows folding without removing the hands from the grips. This makes it significantly easier to operate for users with arthritis, weakness, or reduced dexterity.
What surfaces are the 5" wheels suitable for?
The 5" wheels are designed for smooth to moderately uneven surfaces, including hardwood floors, tile, low-pile carpet, and paved outdoor surfaces such as sidewalks and driveways. They provide better roll and maneuverability than smaller wheels on minor surface irregularities. For heavily uneven terrain or gravel, a rollator with larger wheels may be more appropriate. The included rear glide caps allow the back legs to slide smoothly on hard floor surfaces when the user pushes forward.
How is the walker height adjusted?
The walker height is adjusted using push-button height adjustment pins on each leg. Press the button, slide the leg to the desired height, and release — the pin locks into the nearest height hole automatically. Height should be set so that the user's wrists are at grip level when standing upright with arms relaxed at their sides. Proper height adjustment is important for posture, comfort, and safe use of the walker.
Does this walker come with rear glide caps or tennis balls?
This walker includes rear glide caps, which are smooth plastic caps that fit over the rear legs and allow them to slide easily across hard floor surfaces. Glide caps are generally preferred over tennis balls in clinical and home settings because they provide consistent, controlled glide without wearing down or collecting debris. If you prefer tennis balls for a specific surface type, standard walker tennis balls are available separately and fit most standard walker leg diameters.
