Classic American craftsmanship built to last. Hand-crafted in the USA from premium solid hardwood, the Harvy Round Handle Walking Cane delivers the perfect combination of strength, stability, and timeless style. Each cane is individually shaped, sanded, hard-bent, and finished to exacting standards. The classic round crook handle provides a secure, natural grip and hooks easily over an arm, chair, or railing when not in use. Available in four elegant finishes — Natural Ash, Black, Mahogany, and Walnut — and two shaft diameters to match your grip preference and weight capacity needs.
Stand upright in your normal walking shoes. The top of the cane should reach your wrist crease when your arm hangs naturally at your side. For shaft diameter: the 7/8" diameter (300 lb capacity) is ideal for most users and provides a slightly slimmer, lighter feel. The 1" diameter (250 lb capacity) offers a wider grip that some users find more comfortable. When in doubt, measure before ordering — this cane is a fixed 36" height and is not adjustable.
What is the difference between the 1" and 7/8" diameter options?
The two diameter options differ in shaft thickness, grip feel, and weight capacity. The 1" diameter shaft has a wider circumference that some users find easier to grip, particularly those with larger hands, and has a 250 lb weight capacity. The 7/8" diameter is slightly slimmer and lighter, with a higher 300 lb weight capacity due to the denser wood-to-diameter ratio. Both are the same 36" height and available in the same finishes. Choose based on your grip preference and weight support needs.
Is this cane height-adjustable?
No. This is a fixed-height hardwood cane at 36". It is not adjustable. Before purchasing, confirm that 36" is the correct height for you by standing upright in your walking shoes and measuring from the floor to your wrist crease — this should be approximately 36" for the cane to be the right fit. If you need an adjustable-height cane, consider an aluminum adjustable cane instead.
How do I care for the wood finish?
The semi-gloss water-resistant finish protects the hardwood from moisture and everyday wear. Wipe the cane down with a dry or slightly damp cloth after use. Avoid prolonged exposure to water or leaving the cane in direct sunlight for extended periods, as this can dry out and crack the wood over time. Periodically applying a light coat of furniture wax or wood conditioner can help maintain the finish and extend the life of the cane.
When should I replace the rubber tip?
Inspect the rubber tip before each use. Replace it when the tip shows visible wear, cracking, or the tread is worn smooth — a worn tip significantly reduces traction and increases the risk of slipping. Replacement tips for hardwood canes are widely available at medical supply stores and online. Measure the diameter of the shaft at the base to confirm the correct tip size before purchasing a replacement.
