Frequently Asked Questions

Why 70% isopropyl alcohol and not 91% or 99%?
70% isopropyl alcohol is the recommended concentration for skin antisepsis. The water content in 70% solutions slows evaporation, allowing more contact time with the skin surface for effective antisepsis. Higher concentrations evaporate too quickly to be as effective for skin prep.

Are these pads sterile?
Yes. Each pad is individually wrapped and sterile, making them appropriate for use prior to injections, blood draws, and other procedures requiring aseptic technique.

What does 2-ply mean?
2-ply means the pad is made of two layers of non-woven material, providing greater durability, absorbency, and resistance to tearing compared to single-ply pads. This ensures the pad holds together during use without leaving lint or fibers on the skin.

How many pads come in a box?
Each box contains 200 individually wrapped sterile alcohol prep pads, making it a cost-effective choice for high-frequency use in clinical settings or for stocking a home care supply.
