Sizing Guide

Measure the circumference of your knee at the center of the kneecap using a flexible measuring tape while standing with the knee slightly bent. Select the size that corresponds to your measurement: 3XL for 21 to 24 inches, 4XL for 25 to 28 inches, and 5XL for 29 to 32 inches. If your measurement falls at the top of a size range, sizing up may provide a more comfortable fit, especially if you experience swelling throughout the day.

Ideal For

Users who are unable to pull a traditional knee sleeve brace over their foot due to limited mobility, swelling, or bariatric sizing will find this wrap-around hinged knee brace a practical alternative that applies directly around the knee while seated. Bariatric users who need a hinged knee brace in 3XL, 4XL, or 5XL sizing will find the three available sizes a consistently available option for larger knee circumferences. Users who need mild to moderate knee joint support and stabilization will find the medial and lateral hinge straps practical for daily activity. DME providers and medical supply retailers that stock bariatric orthopedic braces will find the 6099KB series a consistently available wrap-around hinged knee brace in three bariatric sizes.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I measure for the correct size?
Measure the circumference of your knee at the center of the kneecap using a flexible measuring tape while standing with the knee slightly bent. Select the size that corresponds to your measurement: 3XL for 21 to 24 inches, 4XL for 25 to 28 inches, and 5XL for 29 to 32 inches. If your measurement falls at the top of a size range, sizing up may provide a more comfortable fit.

Why choose a wrap-around brace over a sleeve-style brace?
Traditional sleeve-style knee braces must be pulled up over the foot and ankle, which requires significant leg lifting and flexibility. The wrap-around design eliminates this requirement: the brace opens flat and wraps directly around the knee, allowing it to be applied while seated with minimal leg movement. This makes it significantly more accessible for users with limited mobility or bariatric sizing.

What level of support does this brace provide?
This brace provides mild to moderate knee joint support and stabilization through medial and lateral hinge straps. It is appropriate for general knee support and stabilization during daily activity. Consult your physician or orthopedic specialist for guidance on the appropriate brace for your specific needs.

How do I put on the wrap-around brace correctly?
Sit in a chair with your knee slightly bent. Open the brace flat and position it behind the knee, centering the hinge straps on the medial (inner) and lateral (outer) sides of the knee joint. Wrap the brace around the knee and secure the straps from bottom to top, ensuring even compression without excessive tightness. The brace should feel snug and supportive but should not restrict circulation.
