Important: This listing is for the cooler and tube assembly only — it does not include a Cryo/Cuff pad. This is a replacement cooler for existing Aircast Cryo/Cuff systems or for building a new system with a separately purchased cuff pad.
The Aircast Cryo/Cuff Cooler is the water and ice reservoir that powers the Cryo/Cuff cryotherapy system. Filled with ice and water, it delivers up to 6 to 8 hours of continuous cold therapy to the attached cuff pad, providing sustained compression and cryotherapy to the treatment area without the need for frequent ice pack changes. The included tube assembly connects the cooler to any Cryo/Cuff or Aircast Arctic Flow pad, and the insulation disk helps maintain cold temperatures throughout the therapy session. A built-in cooler hanger allows the cooler to be hung from a bed rail for hands-free, gravity-fed cold delivery during post-surgical recovery in a hospital or home setting.
Does this include a cuff pad?
No. This listing is for the cooler and tube assembly only. The Cryo/Cuff pad (ankle, knee, shoulder, elbow, hip, etc.) is sold separately. If you need a complete Cryo/Cuff system, you will need to purchase both the cooler and the appropriate cuff pad for your treatment area. If you already own a cuff pad and only need the cooler, this is the correct item.
Which Cryo/Cuff pads is this cooler compatible with?
This cooler is compatible with all Aircast Cryo/Cuff pads and Aircast Arctic Flow pads. The tube assembly connects to the standard Cryo/Cuff fitting used across the full range of Aircast cuff sizes and styles.
How does the Cryo/Cuff system work?
The cooler is filled with ice and water. When elevated above the cuff pad (or hung from a bed rail), gravity feeds cold water through the tube assembly into the cuff, which wraps around the treatment area and provides simultaneous compression and cold therapy. As the water warms, it flows back into the cooler and is re-chilled by the ice. This gravity-fed cycle delivers continuous cryotherapy for 6 to 8 hours per fill without requiring a pump or power source.
How do I hang the cooler from a bed rail?
The cooler includes a built-in hanger designed to hook over a standard hospital or home bed rail. Hanging the cooler above the level of the cuff pad allows gravity to feed cold water into the cuff continuously. The higher the cooler is positioned above the cuff, the greater the compression delivered to the treatment area.
