Comfortable, adjustable arm support for post-injury and post-surgical recovery. The Blue Jay Universal Arm Sling cradles and immobilizes the arm in a supportive cotton blend pouch, keeping the arm elevated and protected during healing. The slide buckle allows the strap length to be adjusted for a secure, comfortable fit across a wide range of body sizes. A neoprene shoulder pad cushions the neck and shoulder where the strap rests, preventing the pressure and irritation that standard sling straps can cause during extended wear. The 18" × 9" pouch fits most adult arms. Color: Blue/White. Country of Origin: China.
Will this sling fit my arm?
The pouch measures 18" × 9" and is designed to fit most adult arms. The strap is fully adjustable via slide buckle to accommodate different torso and shoulder heights. If you have a very large arm or require a pediatric size, this universal sling may not be the best fit — check with your physician or occupational therapist for a properly sized sling recommendation.
What does the neoprene shoulder pad do?
Standard arm sling straps loop around the neck and can dig into the skin and cause pressure sores or irritation during extended wear. The neoprene shoulder pad on this sling cushions the area where the strap contacts the neck and shoulder, distributing the weight of the arm more comfortably and reducing the risk of strap-related skin irritation during recovery.
How do I adjust the sling to the correct height?
The arm should rest in the sling with the elbow bent at approximately 90° and the hand slightly elevated above the elbow level. Use the slide buckle to shorten or lengthen the strap until the arm rests at this position comfortably. Your physician or physical therapist may have specific positioning instructions based on your injury — follow their guidance.
Can I wear this sling while sleeping?
Some physicians recommend wearing an arm sling during sleep following certain injuries or surgeries to prevent accidental movement of the healing limb. Whether to wear the sling overnight depends on your specific injury and your physician’s instructions. Follow their guidance on wear schedule and duration.
