The CanDo PowerWeb 14-inch Combo Hand Exerciser gives therapists and patients the flexibility of dual resistance in a single tool — Red (Light) on one side and Blue (Heavy) on the other. Simply flip the web to switch between resistance levels without reaching for a different tool. Resistance can be further fine-tuned by adjusting hand position or the depth of finger insertion, making it easy to progress patients through a full rehabilitation continuum. Supports flexion, extension, opposition, and supination exercises.
This hand exerciser is well-suited for occupational therapists and physical therapists who need a single dual-resistance tool that allows patients to warm up at a lighter resistance and progress to heavier resistance within the same session without switching equipment. It is an excellent choice for patients in post-surgical hand and wrist rehabilitation who are progressing through multiple resistance levels and benefit from the convenience of a flip-to-switch design. Stroke recovery and neurological rehabilitation programs will find the PowerWeb's support for flexion, extension, opposition, and supination exercises appropriate for a wide range of hand function goals. It also serves patients managing arthritis, joint stiffness, or reduced grip strength who need a versatile, adjustable-resistance home exercise tool for daily hand conditioning.
How do I switch between the Light and Heavy resistance?
Simply flip the web over. The Red side provides Light resistance and the Blue side provides Heavy resistance. No tools or adjustments are needed — just flip and continue your exercise.
Can I adjust the resistance beyond the two preset levels?
Yes. In addition to flipping between Red and Blue sides, you can fine-tune resistance by adjusting your hand position on the web or changing the depth of finger insertion. Shallower insertion reduces resistance; deeper insertion increases it.
What exercises can I do with the PowerWeb?
The PowerWeb supports flexion (finger and wrist curling), extension (finger and wrist straightening), opposition (thumb-to-finger pinch patterns), and supination (forearm rotation). A wide range of hand and wrist rehabilitation exercises can be performed with a single web.
When should I progress to a different resistance color?
Progress to a higher resistance color when you can complete your prescribed exercise sets comfortably with good form at the current resistance level. Consult your therapist for guidance on appropriate progression timing for your specific rehabilitation or conditioning program.
