Physical therapy clinics and rehabilitation centers that provide cold pack therapy as a standard modality for acute injury management, post-exercise recovery, and pain and inflammation control will find the C-5’s heavy-duty compressor and interior chilling coils maintain a ready supply of chilled ColPacs for continuous patient throughput throughout the treatment day. Sports medicine facilities, athletic training rooms, and team training facilities that treat multiple athletes simultaneously and need a high-capacity chilling unit that can rapidly rechill ColPacs between uses will find the C-5’s faster chilling performance reduces wait times and supports efficient treatment scheduling. Occupational therapy departments and hospital-based rehabilitation units that use cold therapy as part of post-surgical and acute care treatment protocols will find the stainless steel construction and drain valve support the hygiene and cleaning standards required in clinical healthcare environments. Clinics that need a mobile cold pack unit that can be repositioned between treatment areas or moved to different rooms within the facility will find the three swivel casters allow smooth, quiet repositioning without disrupting patient care. New clinic setups and practice expansions that want a complete, ready-to-use cold therapy system will find the C-5’s inclusion of 12 ColPacs (6 standard, 6 half size) provides an immediate supply of cold packs without requiring a separate ColPac purchase at startup.
How long does it take to chill ColPacs to treatment temperature?
Chilling time depends on the starting temperature of the ColPacs and the ambient environment. The C-5’s heavy-duty compressor and interior chilling coils are designed to chill ColPacs faster than standard units. Contact our customer service team or refer to the Chattanooga product documentation for specific chilling time specifications.
How do I clean and defrost the unit?
The drain valve allows easy drainage of water during defrosting and cleaning. Follow the manufacturer’s cleaning and maintenance instructions included with the unit for specific defrosting frequency recommendations and approved cleaning procedures.
Can additional ColPacs be purchased separately?
Yes. Chattanooga ColPacs are available separately in standard and half sizes. Contact our customer service team for ColPac ordering information and pricing.
