Size note: This is a universal fit hinged knee brace fitting knee circumference of 12" to 24". It is not available in separate sizes. Measure around the center of your kneecap before ordering to confirm fit.
Structured support for ligament and meniscus knee injuries. The Cross-Fit Universal Hinged Knee Brace features medial and lateral hinge stays that provide firm, bilateral support to the knee joint — stabilizing the ligaments and controlling side-to-side movement during activity and recovery. An enclosed tubular donut buttress surrounds and cushions the patella, while piping along the thigh and calf areas prevents the brace from flexing or rolling during wear. The neoprene-coated 4-way stretch nylon fabric delivers warmth and compression while conforming to the knee for a comfortable, secure fit. The back is tapered for a comfortable fit behind the knee, and the hinges are removable for custom fitting. A built-in hyperextension stop limits extension to 170° to protect the joint during recovery. Color: Black.
How do I measure for the correct fit?
Measure around the center of your kneecap (directly over the patella) with your leg slightly bent. This universal brace fits knee circumferences from 12" to 24". If your measurement falls within this range, this brace will fit. Do not measure the thigh or calf — the knee circumference is the correct reference point for this brace.
What does the donut buttress do?
The enclosed tubular donut buttress is a ring-shaped pad that surrounds the kneecap (patella) without pressing directly on it. It helps guide the patella into proper alignment during movement and cushions the area around the kneecap to reduce discomfort from patellar instability or irritation. This is particularly useful for users with chondromalacia or general kneecap tracking issues in addition to ligament support needs.
What does the hyperextension stop at 170° mean?
A fully straight knee is at 180° of extension. The 170° hyperextension stop limits the knee from straightening beyond a slightly bent position, preventing the joint from snapping back into full extension or beyond. This protects healing ligaments and soft tissue from the stress of hyperextension during activity and rehabilitation.
Can the hinges be removed?
Yes. The medial and lateral hinge stays are removable, allowing the brace to be customized for individual fit and support needs. Removing the hinges converts the brace to a soft compression sleeve with buttress support. For most ligament and meniscus injury applications, keeping the hinges in place is recommended for maximum joint stabilization.
