The Aircast Cryo/Cuff IC Cooler delivers integrated cold and compression therapy in a single, clinically proven system designed to reduce post-operative swelling and support the recovery of range of motion. Unlike standard gravity-fed Cryo/Cuff systems, the IC model features an integrated pneumatic pump built directly into the cooler lid, enabling both gravity-fed and motorized cold and compression therapy for flexible, adaptable care. The whisper-quiet motor, insulated cuff, and quick pad disconnect make the system easy to use at home, in athletic training rooms, or in clinical post-operative settings. Ideal for post-operative recovery, acute trauma management, and athletic rehabilitation.
Note: This product will be in stock after 6/15/26.
Indicated for cold and compression therapy to reduce post-operative edema, manage acute soft tissue trauma, and support range-of-motion recovery following orthopedic surgery or injury. Use as directed by your healthcare provider or surgeon.
Post-operative orthopedic patients recovering from knee, shoulder, ankle, or hip surgery who have been prescribed cold and compression therapy by their surgeon will find the IC system’s motorized pump delivers consistent, controlled compression without requiring the patient to manually elevate the cooler. Athletic trainers managing acute soft tissue injuries in a training room setting will appreciate the dual gravity and motorized modes, which allow the system to be used with or without power depending on the treatment environment. Home care patients who need a reliable, easy-to-operate cold and compression system for extended post-surgical recovery will benefit from the whisper-quiet motor and insulated cuff, which allow comfortable use during rest and overnight. Physical therapists and rehabilitation specialists who incorporate cold and compression into their post-operative protocols will find the quick pad disconnect and durable construction practical for high-frequency clinical use. Patients managing chronic joint swelling or recurring soft tissue inflammation who have been directed by their provider to use cold and compression therapy on an ongoing basis will find the IC system’s flexibility and ease of use well-suited to a long-term home therapy routine.
What is the difference between the Cryo/Cuff IC and the standard Cryo/Cuff?
The standard Cryo/Cuff uses gravity to deliver cold water from the cooler to the cuff — the cooler must be elevated above the treatment area for flow. The IC (Integrated Compression) model adds a motorized pneumatic pump built into the cooler lid, which automates compression delivery and eliminates the need to manually position the cooler for gravity flow. The IC system offers greater flexibility and ease of use, particularly for patients who cannot easily elevate the cooler.
Does the cooler come with a cuff, or is the cuff sold separately?
The Cryo/Cuff IC Cooler (SKU 51A) is the cooler unit with integrated pump. Cuffs for specific body parts — knee, shoulder, ankle, etc. — are typically sold separately. Confirm which cuff is compatible with your treatment area and order accordingly, or consult your healthcare provider for guidance.
How long does the cold therapy last per fill?
The insulated cooler is designed to maintain cold water temperature for extended treatment sessions. Duration will vary depending on ambient temperature and usage frequency. Refill with ice water as needed to maintain therapeutic cold throughout your treatment session.
Is this system safe to use while sleeping?
The whisper-quiet motor and insulated cuff are designed with comfort in mind for extended use, including during rest. However, always follow your surgeon’s or healthcare provider’s specific instructions regarding duration and frequency of cold and compression therapy, and do not use the system in a way that has not been prescribed or recommended by your provider.
