Integrated arms, all-composite construction, and a contemporary look — without replacing your toilet seat. The Drive Elevated Toilet Seat with Arms is a riser that installs between your toilet bowl and your existing toilet seat and lid, adding 3.5" of height while providing molded-in arms for push-up support during sitting and standing. Because the riser uses your existing seat and lid, the toilet’s appearance remains largely unchanged — the lid still closes, and the seat functions normally on top of the riser. The arms are molded directly into the composite frame rather than attached as separate components, giving the unit a clean, one-piece appearance and eliminating the possibility of arms loosening or detaching over time. All-composite construction provides durability and a contemporary look. Attaches easily to the toilet bowl. Fits elongated toilets. Backed by a limited lifetime warranty. Color: White. Country of Origin: China.
What is the difference between molded-in arms and removable arms?
Molded-in arms are formed as part of the riser frame itself during manufacturing — they are a single integrated unit with no attachment points that can loosen, crack, or fail over time. Removable arms are separate components that clip or bolt onto the riser frame, which allows them to be detached when needed but also introduces attachment points that can wear with repeated removal and reattachment. Molded-in arms are the more durable long-term choice for users who always need arm support and do not need to remove the arms for transfers. If you need to remove the arms for caregiver-assisted lateral transfers, choose a model with removable arms instead.
Does this riser work with my existing toilet seat and lid?
Yes — this riser is designed to be used with your existing toilet seat and lid, which are reinstalled on top of the riser after installation. The toilet’s appearance remains largely unchanged — the lid closes and the seat functions normally. The riser itself sits between the bowl and the existing seat, adding height while the arms extend out from the riser frame on each side.
Will this fit my elongated toilet?
This seat is designed for elongated toilet bowls. Elongated bowls are approximately 18.5" long from the seat bolt holes to the front of the rim, compared to approximately 16.5" for standard round bowls. The seat depth of 19.25" confirms the elongated fit. If you are unsure whether your toilet is round or elongated, measure the bowl length from the bolt holes to the front rim — if it is approximately 18.5", you have an elongated bowl. Do not use this riser on a standard round bowl.
Is 3.5" of added height enough for post-surgical recovery?
For many users, 3.5" of additional height combined with arm support provides sufficient assistance during sit-to-stand transitions following hip or knee surgery. The arms on this model add meaningful push-up support that can compensate for a lower riser height compared to an armless 5" riser. The appropriate combination of height and arm support depends on the user’s leg strength, existing toilet height, and any specific precautions prescribed by the surgeon. Consult your physical therapist or occupational therapist for a personalized recommendation.
