For users who need mobility support with only one hand or arm, a standard walker is often too cumbersome and a cane too unstable. The Hemi Walker fills that gap precisely — providing a wider, more stable base than a cane while remaining significantly lighter and more manageable than a full walker. At just 3.5 lbs, it is easy to lift, maneuver, and fold with one hand, and the adjustable height range of 28.5" to 35.5" allows users to dial in the right fit for comfort and proper posture. The compact folding design makes it practical for home use, travel, and clinical environments alike. Backed by a Lifetime Limited Warranty.

What is a hemi walker and who is it designed for?
A hemi walker, also called a side walker, is a mobility aid designed for users who can only use one hand or arm for support — most commonly individuals who have experienced a stroke, hemiplegia, or injury affecting one side of the body. Unlike a standard walker that requires both hands, the hemi walker is held and operated with a single hand, providing a wider and more stable base of support than a cane while remaining light enough to manage one-handed. The term "hemi" refers to hemiplegia or hemiparesis, conditions affecting one side of the body.
How does the height adjustment work?
The height is adjusted using push-button adjustment pins on each leg. Press the button, slide the leg to the desired height within the 28.5" to 35.5" range, and release — the pin locks into the nearest height hole automatically. Proper height adjustment means the handgrip is at wrist level when the user stands upright with their arm relaxed at their side. Correct height is important for posture, comfort, and safe use, and should be confirmed by a physical therapist or clinician when the walker is first issued.
Can this walker be folded with one hand?
Yes. The folding mechanism is designed for one-hand operation, which is essential for users who only have use of one arm. The walker folds flat for storage in a closet, under a bed, or in a vehicle, making it practical for users who need to manage the walker independently without caregiver assistance for folding and unfolding.
