A raised toilet seat with a lid — and the hygiene cutouts that make it practical for daily use. The Drive Savannah-Style Raised Toilet Seat adds 4" of height to your existing toilet, making sitting and standing significantly easier for users with limited mobility, post-surgical restrictions, or joint pain. Unlike basic risers, this model includes a lid for a complete, finished appearance and two hygiene cutouts that provide access for personal hygiene without removing the seat. The seat attaches directly to the toilet bowl and locks securely in place with two rear locks — no tools required for installation or removal. Easy to clean. Backed by a limited lifetime warranty. Color: White. Country of Origin: China.
What are the hygiene cutouts and why do they matter?
Hygiene cutouts are openings in the sides or rear of the raised toilet seat that provide access for personal hygiene — wiping and washing — without requiring the user to lift or remove the seat. On a standard raised toilet seat without cutouts, the seat can obstruct access and make hygiene more difficult, particularly for users with limited arm reach or mobility. The two cutouts on this seat make it a more practical choice for daily independent use.
Does this replace my existing toilet seat or sit on top of it?
This raised toilet seat replaces your existing toilet seat — it attaches directly to the toilet bowl using two rear locks and includes its own lid. Remove your existing seat and install this one in its place. No tools are required. The result is a complete toilet seat and lid at the elevated height, rather than a riser layered under an existing seat.
How do the rear locks work and is the seat stable?
The two rear locks grip the underside of the toilet bowl rim to secure the seat in place during use. To install, position the seat on the bowl and engage the locks until they grip firmly. The seat should not rock or shift when properly locked. Always confirm the seat is fully locked before use. To remove for cleaning, disengage the locks and lift the seat off the bowl.
Is 4" of added height enough for post-surgical recovery?
For most users, 4" of additional height provides meaningful relief during sit-to-stand transitions and is a common recommendation following hip and knee replacement surgery. The appropriate height depends on the user’s leg length, the height of the existing toilet, and any specific hip precautions prescribed by the surgeon. Consult your physical therapist or occupational therapist for a personalized recommendation — they can assess whether 4" is sufficient or whether additional support such as armrests would better meet your needs.
