Full knee support without pulling a sleeve over the foot. This wrap-around hinged knee brace is an excellent choice for patients who are unable to pull a traditional knee sleeve brace over their feet due to limited mobility, swelling, or bariatric sizing. The unique wrap design allows the brace to be applied directly around the knee for a custom, secure fit without requiring the user to lift or bend the leg excessively. Medial and lateral hinge straps provide excellent joint support and stabilization. Available in three bariatric sizes: 3XL (21"–24"), 4XL (25"–28"), and 5XL (29"–32"). Color: Black.
How do I measure for the correct size?
Measure the circumference of your knee at the center of the kneecap. Use a flexible measuring tape and measure while standing with the knee slightly bent (approximately 10–15 degrees). Select the size that corresponds to your measurement: 3XL for 21"–24", 4XL for 25"–28", and 5XL for 29"–32". If your measurement falls at the top of a size range, sizing up may provide a more comfortable fit, especially if you experience swelling throughout the day.
Why choose a wrap-around brace over a sleeve-style brace?
Traditional sleeve-style knee braces must be pulled up over the foot and ankle, which requires significant leg lifting and flexibility — difficult or impossible for patients with severe swelling, limited hip or ankle mobility, post-surgical restrictions, or bariatric sizing. The wrap-around design eliminates this requirement entirely: the brace opens flat and wraps directly around the knee, allowing it to be applied while seated with minimal leg movement. This makes it significantly more accessible for a wider range of patients.
What conditions is this brace indicated for?
This brace is indicated for mild to moderate knee ligament joint pain, sprains, and strains, and provides support and stabilization following ligament or meniscus injuries. It is appropriate for conditions such as MCL or LCL sprains, general knee instability, and post-injury compression support during recovery and daily activity. It is not designed for severe ligament tears (such as complete ACL rupture) or post-surgical immobilization requiring a rigid brace — consult your physician or orthopedic specialist for guidance on the appropriate brace for your specific diagnosis.
How do I put on the wrap-around brace correctly?
Sit in a chair with your knee at approximately 10–15 degrees of bend (slightly bent, not fully straight or fully flexed). Open the brace flat and position it behind the knee, centering the hinge straps on the medial (inner) and lateral (outer) sides of the knee joint. Wrap the brace around the knee and secure the straps from bottom to top, ensuring even compression without excessive tightness. The brace should feel snug and supportive but should not restrict circulation — if you experience numbness, tingling, or increased swelling, loosen the straps immediately.
